Health

DNA testing has been completed for all of our dogs so you can be assured that your puppy will be free of genetic diseases and undesired hereditary conditions.

Vet/health checks are regularly done, and your puppy will obtain vet clearance prior to heading to their new home.

We are committed to producing healthy, high quality dogs and improving breed standard.

Temperament

For us, producing dogs with a beautiful temperament starts with genetic testing and carefully selecting breeding pairs.

We also believe that puppies' early interactions and experiences influence their temperament. This is why we ensure that they are provided with a stimulated and enriched environment, early and proper socialisation, exposure to people of varying ages (including children), gentle training and positive reinforcement from very early on.

Diversity

We have selectively and carefully chosen our dogs and imported them to New Zealand to improve genetic diversity and have bloodlines which are exclusive to Bon-A-Petite Dachshunds.

We offer smooth and long-haired coat types, classic coat colors as well as boutique eye-catching dapple patterned colorways. Amazing aesthetics and the adorable factor are guaranteed.

Yes, we are a boutique miniature dachshund breeder in NZ but above that, we are a dedicated family and love for dogs is our way of life. Our dogs are our pets and their health, happiness and well-being is our priority.

Walkies, fetch, lounging around, chilling in the sun along with endless amounts of cuddles and belly rubs are all a part of our usual daily lives. Our dachshunds diets are well thought out and specifically tailored to each of their needs to ensure optimum health.

Just the way our dogs live, our puppies are born and raised in a nurturing environment within the family home. They receive plenty of love, socialisation, and gentle training from an early age, setting the foundation for well-adjusted and happy dogs.

Our mission is to provide the best possible little companions and send them to new homes that are guaranteed to provide the same level of care and love to them as we do.

We will ask a few questions related to your living situation, experience with dogs and family members
We schedule a video call so we can meet you and you can also see your puppy
We may ask for personal references
We will provide you with a purchase contract/agreement outlining the terms of sale, health guarantees, spay/neuter agreements and other important details related to the puppy's care and well-being
